Serial Entrepreneur and Co-founder of Amadeus Capital Partners, Dr Hermann Hauser KBE has wide experience in developing and financing companies in the information technology sector. He co-founded a number of high-tech companies including Acorn Computers which spun out ARM, E-trade UK, Virata and Cambridge Network. Subsequently Hermann became vice president of research at Olivetti. During his tenure at Olivetti, he established a global network of research laboratories. Since leaving Olivetti, Hermann has founded over 20 technology companies. In 1997, he co-founded Amadeus Capital Partners. At Amadeus he invested in CSR, Solexa, Icera, Xmos and Cambridge Broadband.
Hermann is a Fellow of the Royal Society, the Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Chemistry and of the Royal Academy of Engineering, as well as an Honorary Fellow of King’s College, Cambridge. In 2001 he was awarded an Honorary CBE for ‘innovative service to the UK enterprise sector’. In 2004 he was made a member of the Government’s Council for Science and Technology and in 2013 he was made a Distinguished Fellow of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
Hermann has honorary doctorates from the Universities of Loughborough, Bath, Anglia Ruskin, Strathclyde, Glasgow and York.

Starting with one bagel shop and 2 employees 19 years ago, the Kemps now employ over 100 people, have 12 outlets and 6 brands including Kemp Sisters at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Hatch and Sons, Joe’s Coffee, Itsa, Alchemy and Feast Catering. They have successfully run Table Restaurant for Brown Thomas in Cork for the past 13 years and are the wholesale suppliers of sandwiches to Butlers Chocolates. Peaches is a qualified chef, has a post graduate degree in PR, and holds an advanced diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (UK). She won Image Businesswoman of the Year in 2009 and was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme in 2011. She is Chair of the EY EOY Alumni Board and is a supporter, judge and a mentor for Social Entrepreneurs Ireland.

Julian Costley is an active investor in technology and media companies and serves as a chairman or non-executive director on a number of boards. He has just completed a book on crowdfunding (How to use Crowdfunding).
He was a Country Manager at Thomson Reuters, before creating his own TV channel on BSB (later BSkyB), then CEO of France Telecom’s Globecast satellite company. After meeting venture capitalist Hermann Hauser in 1998, they created E*TRADE UK, the UK’s first all-Internet stockbroking firm and effected a trade sale at the height of the dotcom boom.
Since then he has invested in 16 companies and became chairman/NED or adviser to many more focusing on the telecoms, media, financial services, and internet markets in UK, Netherlands, Scandinavia, France, Canada and China. He is an occasional lecturer/mentor/MBA course judge at London Business School, Said (Oxford University), EDHEC (Nice), UM (Barcelona), Skema Business School (Sophia Antipolis) and Deusto (San Sebastian).

Three major highlights from his career include helping Airespace to be the #2 WLAN in EMEA market share and positioned Cisco to be #1 WLAN vendor worldwide. He has helped start promoting Cisco VCE alliance (VMware, EMC, Cisco) and the BMC OEM relationship to Kick Start their first SP IaaS Cloud offering on a worldwide basis.
He also pioneered the French ISP Internet business while leading Ascend’s insertion into FT/Orange first ISP business to include ISDNET, OLEANE and Internetway. Marcel most recently left CISCO after 30 years in IT and Telecom Sales to start his new venture as a Business Angel to help startups with seed money, VC connections and Business development. Vaelsys,Microgine, FAVEEO, Digitalarti and Cyberflowanalytics are five of his star ventures. Priit has worked in corporate finace sector – privatized Estonian second biggest power grid and has been 18 years in Estonian biggest Oil&Gas-Energy corporation Viru Keemia Grupp, where first 11 years he was CFO and last 7 years as a CEO.

Ian is a full-time business angel and founded Monte Carlo Capital in 2009 to invest his own assets in early-stage companies. Over the years Ian attracted a group of private co-investors and family offices and, as a group, invest between $500K and to $2M per company at seed/early series A. Ian also brings in follow-on investors in follow-on financings.
Ian is regularly the lead investor and is involved at each step of the deal, from deal sourcing to due diligence, deal structuring, and often joins the board or the advisory board. Once invested, Ian brings in a global network of co-investors and advisors who help portfolio companies access clients, partners and expertise.
Before founding Monte Carlo Capital, Ian was, until 2009, the regional managing director and head of capital markets in Asia for Commerzbank where he was managing all the trading floors activities in Asia, including equity derivatives, credit, precious metals, foreign exchange, debt capital markets, as well as the treasuries of HK, Singapore and Shanghai. Ian started his career in 1993 and previously worked in Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong with HSBC, UBS and JPMorgan, holding positions in trading, sales and financial engineering.
Over the years, Ian has been a keynote speaker at numerous conferences in China, HK, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Russia and Monaco. Ian currently lectures venture capital to MBA and finance MSc students at the International University of Monaco, and a regular speaker at leading business school. He is also a board member of the Monaco Venture Capital Association. Ian joined the European Business Angels Network (EBAN), in 2016 and recently won the best performing new member award at the annual conference of EBAN in Malaga. Among these accomplishments he is President of the Croatian Business Angels Network – CRANE and member of the Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar – Kitarović.
Born on 10th of November 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia, Stetner launched his first company when he was 20. He is the owner of various businesses in the media & entertainment industry (Kreator TV, Kreator Film New York, Zimo digital), hospitality industry and others. Stetner is an active angel investor with a wide portfolio of investments in startup companies around the world, mainly in Croatia and USA.
He made a world breakthrough with acquisition of Formula 1TM media rights for Croatia in 2011 when he alone negotiated and signed a contract with Bernie Ecclestone beating huge multinational companies. At 29 years old then, he thus became world’s youngest private F1TM rights holder. As he later said – Formula 1TM and the contacts and friendships he made there were his true breakthrough and lifetime value. Stetner has huge premium sports and television production experience. He worked, and he is working with the biggest names in the industry like Formula 1TM, Volvo Ocean RaceTM, MotoGPTM, Eurosport and others. He leads multiple media projects for more than 15 years. He built a numerous media projects and TV stations from the scratch. Motorsports is his big love. He founded Kreator Racing Team in 2012 to help young drivers to compete at the World stage. Kreator Racing made great results in Formula Renault, Karting and Motocross. This team now holds more than 11 national and international Championships titles and is one of the most successful motorsports teams in Croatia.
Stetner was appointed to Croatian President Kolinda Grabar – Kitarović’s Council for Economic Affairs. He has been active in the National Car & Carting Federation (member of FIA) first as a Board member and from 2017, as a Deputy President. His other passions include traveling and long expeditions. Stetner is an adventurer who has traveled throughout many countries of the world such as: the Ivory Coast, Liberia, DR Congo, Panama, Bhutan. So far he has visited more than 70 countries. He also has a Pilot License (PPL) and he is a skipper.
